8 Weeks!
So... I'm officially 8 weeks along today ;) YEAH!!! Ok, I went to the dr. and had a really good appointment. He was extremely patient and answered all my questions. One of the things that I was worried about was my thyroid. He told me that my latest test that I had done on Friday came back really low on Friday as well. So he referred me to a specialist. I still have to make an appointment with them, so I'll let you know once I go and hear back from them. He did give me a copy of my results to take to that doctor. So we'll see.

Let's see... what else?!?! I had a TB test done today. They do it very different now then they did when I was little. It used to be a three prong shot type thing, now it's just a little need put slightly under the skin and they fill it up with the fluid. You go back 2 days later to "read" your results. Weird I know, but it was painless, and I freak out about needles, so that worked perfectly dandee for me!!

Hmm... I feel really good! I'm still really tired, but that's normal. My stomach feels weird still ;0) heavy-ish... I don't know. I have always had a kinda chubby tummy, it's never been flat or muscular, but it's sorta tight now. I know that my body has been changing, but it's funny how it feels.

Other than that, I don't feel sick at all, just queasy if I don't eat fast enough, which is about 15 minutes after I start to feel hungry. That has been a tad challenging!

When I went to the Dr. today, the nurse asked me "have you felt the baby move yet?" and although I told her no (and I know that it's just a routine question, not that I could feel anything at 8 weeks) I was laying there thinking, how awesome is that going to be when I can answer that question YES!!! I cannot wait!!!

I still don't get the thyroid thing? Did they say if or why they would be worry or want it checked out? Just curious.

That is exactly how I felt with all of my pregnancy TIGHT! Perfect description my dear. It is SO weird how you feel even when you just a couple of weeks. I felt totally pregnant right away with all of my kids. It was like instantly I knew something was weird and off but that's about it. But with Madison (maybe because it was my 3rd baby) I felt this incredibly tense pelvic pain. Even before I got the positive test back and so I was only like 3 weeks (1 week though since the baby was implanted!).

Sheesh there I go again talking about me me me ME! Sorry! I'm just really excited for you. I keep checking back here like a crazy person!

Oh and when you feel the baby move for the first time it is AMAZING!! AND every time after that is AMAZING!! It's the coolest feeling Sara! Enjoy every second of your pregnancy!!

Love ya!

WOOO HHHHOOOOO! I love Dot! I think it's silly that she asked you if you felt the baby move...is it even possible this early? It is cool though. At first you're not even sure if what you felt was the baby moving and then you get so use to it. I remember after Malachy was born and I would get hungry or have gas =) or whatever...I would be like oh the baby's moving again. And then I would be like duh there is no baby in there! Haha!

LOL - Steph, you crack me up!! Ha, ha.... that's so funny.

I know it's not possible, because I don't think the baby is moving yet. Amy sent me this book that show pictures of what the baby looks like from these scope type cameras, it's really awesome! Anyways, it says in there that the baby at this point might be moving, but it's in spuratic movements that can't be felt for awhile. It's not constant moves.

I can't wait though, until it's movements that I can feel ;0)

Crystal, I'm SO GLAD that you're telling me about your experiences!!! I want to hear everything!!! That goes for everyone, I want to hear all of your experiences, I love hearing about them ;0)

It's awesome that you had the same feeling that I do, because I was trying to describe it to this girl at work and she thought I was nuts! I might have been describing it wrong though.

My thyroid level is .007 which is almost none at all, so it's like my thyroid glad isn't working at all (??). My Dr. is just referring me to a specialist so they can monitor it and give me medication incase I need it. I have to call and make an appointment still, so I will get more information about it then. My Dr. did tell me that my thyroid regulates my body tempature so that is something they want to watch. I don't really understand that either, but we'll see.

Thyroids suck! They do SOOOO MUCH for our bodies it's crazy.

There's no way you were describing what you felt wrong to your friend. Nothing you feel is wrong. No pregnancy is exactly a like and each of your own you will be surprised will be different from the other.

You know what else is cool!!!??? When you SEE the baby move! That is AWESOME!!! It creeps some people out but when it's YOUR baby it just amazing.

I was laughing at what Steph said because sometimes (2 years after I had Maddie) I will feel something and think that's just what it felt like when my babies moved. I like it when it happens though.

Yeah!! You only have one month of your first trimester! The second is so great. You get to experience the movements and there's this incredible bond.

I don't understand the thyroid thing either. But I'm glad they are keeping an eye on you since I can't! :)

To help with the quick hunger strikes, I had a supply of crackers, carrots, peanuts, etc with me at work. It helps give you more time to get a meal in you before you get sick.

On MSN.com (yes, my favorite site), there is a story about a lady who went to the hospital because of severe stomach pains. She ended up being 9 months pregnant. She said she didn't have a clue. No sickness, fatigue, etc. And she has a 14 month old baby so she should know how it feels! But the baby wasn't doing well so they did a C-section. Both are doing good. And the boyfriend didn't believe her until he got to the hospital! Ha ha. Crazy story.

Love you and miss you.
Brooke

You do realize that by making "Dot" a blog, you're automatically making him addicting to blogs when he/she's born, right? lol. jk. Luv ya!!!!!

A girl in my old small group was feeling pretty sick and went to the hospital and came home with a baby. She had NO idea she was pregnant!! Isn't that just crazy! I really don't understand how someone can't tell. It's just weird and crazy to me. I just had to share because I read Brooke's comment.
