Week 24!

We are officially into the 6th month :) Yeah us! I'm feeling really good. Work is getting a little tougher, but that's going to happen I suppose. Hee, hee... everything is just so dang small in my classroom.

We've been busy watching and feeling my belly bounce around. It's so cool to watch, I am just so in love! I thank God every day that I have been given this opportunity. I'm cherishing every minute of it. Sometimes it feels like it's going way too fast.

Below is a new belly picture. You can see my change from 2 weeks ago. It's funny to see the difference because I can definately feel it, but I don't realize it all the time. I have been knocking over things a lot lately, I have been walking into kids at school too ;0) Their heads are about even with my belly button and when I knock into them, they start laughing. They all know now that I'm going to have a baby and they ask all the time about Lee. A few of them have felt him kick too!

My next Dr. appointment is on March 7th, I have to do the glucose test then so I'll let you know how it goes.

23 Weeks!

I am SO tired... I wish Steve was down here seeing what I am seeing right now though :(

I am watching Lee kick me for the very first time. I have felt him thousands of times and tonight, just for the past 10 minutes, I have been able to watch him. My stomach is bouncing up and down, it's all over the place. He was VERY active tonight anyways and I kept telling Steve that I didn't know what Lee was doing in there. Steve was feeling my belly trying to feel it too. He went to bed about an hour ago and now I am experiencing this! Oh, I wish he was here!

I don't want to go to bed because he might stop, and it's just way too cool to be watching this right now... oh well. I'll post again soon! I'm going to bed!

Week 23!

I think we have a name... I wouldn't go and embroider it on anything, but we both love the conclusion we have come to.

It's been a L..O..N..G process... with many discussions! Here's how it started:

Lee - This is Steve's middle name, Steve's Dad's middle name, and Steve's Grandpa's first name. So it's been in the family for over 3 generations (that we know of). We both decided that we wanted to have "Lee" somewhere in the name. Drawback: not every name sounds good with Lee as the middle name. For example, we liked the name William (Will) for short, but Will Lee sounded really funny.

John - This is my Dad's middle name. We both liked this name as well as an alternative middle name if "Lee" didn't work out.

Logan - Steve loved this name right from the start! It grew on me very fast but I didn't really care for "Lee" or "John" as the middle name. So we kinda crossed it off the list.

At this point, we went and bought a baby name book. Steve went through all 300 pages and highlighted the ones he really liked. One of the more creative names that we came across was "Bradlee". It was a great combination and we could use "John" as the middle name. Drawback: we didn't really care for the short name "Brad". Also, he would have had the initials of "BJS".

In the end we decided to keep it really simple and stick with tradition. Soo... we would like to change the name officially from "Dot" to ....

22 Weeks!

Well, I'm 22 weeks now... it's crazy how fast time has been flying. Whew... it seems to be going so slooooow and then bam... it's been a month.

I'm feeling really good, my lower back is still hurting sometimes, but other than that I'm feeling really big ;) I know that I haven't even begun to get "big" but it still feels that way :D

We haven't decided on a name yet, but we found the "theme" we would like for the nursery. We are doing the nursery in a "trains" theme. See below for the blanket that I ordered. It was on sale from pottery barn kids. It's SO cute! Our crib came in as well. We just ordered it on Friday and it's already in. When we get it and set it up, I'll take a picture so you can see it with the new blanket & bumper.


Here is an updated belly picture. It's getting rounder, everyone of my parents at work now have definately noticed that I'm pregnant. It's so neat to have people notice and comment.

That's all for now. My next Dr. appointment isn't until March 3rd (I think) it's the first Wednesday in March. So, I'll just be updating with room pictures and belly shots until then.
