Lee is 24 weeks old today! He is changing everyday, there's always something new. Right now, he's going through this, "I don't want to go to bed". I always thought that we would skip by the whole, "cry uncontrollably when going to bed" routine. Get this... since he was 3 months old, he's always wanted to fall asleep by himself. He's never really liked to be held when falling asleep. NOW, Lee is taking his naps really well, he goes right to sleep. But the second I turn down the lights to feed him at night (something we have always done) he starts screaming uncontrollably. I'm hoping this is a faize and will end soon. The last 4 nights have been rough. He's getting stronger too, so when he arches his back to throw a temper tantrum, it's almost funny, but I might drop him... it's crazy. It hits 7pm and he turns into this Dr. Jeykle/Mr. Hyde. Tonight was a very tiny bit better... I hope it keeps going that way. It's so weird...
Other than "bedtime" he's an angel. He's teething again... how many times have I said that right?!?! Well he's doing all the same stuff he was doing before. There's costant drool to where he will wear 2 - 3 bibs in a 2 hour period. We could ring them out. It's gotten to the point that I went and bought some of those waterproof ones. Even with teething though, it doesn't take much to get a smile or a laugh out of him. He's usually at his "slap happy" stage after he wakes up from his last nap. It's really cute. He laughs at just about anything you do to him :)
Here's his schedule for this week: (although he's been on this for almost a month now, maybe a little more)
7:30am - Wake up (eats 2T Oatmeal, 4oz Bottle)
9am - Nap
10:30am - Wake up (6oz Bottle)
12:30pm - Nap
2:30pm - Wake up (8oz Bottle)
4:30pm - Nap
5:30pm - Wake up (Jar of baby food, 2oz bottle)
7pm - (Lights out, 8oz bottle & scream fest)
7:30pm - Bedtime for the night
This is generally his schedule. I let him sleep in as late as he can. I usually don't wake him up in the morning. He has gone as late as 8:30pm, but that has been very far and few. I'm not complaining at all though.
Here are some things you have started in the last 4 weeks Lee:
Nov 4 - Started cereal with a spoon again. We had to stop because you were throwing it up. Dr. wanted us to wait 1 month and then start again. You are doing great! You love eating with a spoon. We are also putting rice cereal in your bottles to help with reflux. So you are getting a lot of rice cereal!!
Nov 5 - Gave you prunes for the first time. You were in a lot of pain from the rice cereal and it's not letting you poop.
Nov 6 - Prunes didn't do squat, so we had to give you a suppository :( That was not as bad as I thought it would be. You pooped in about 2 minutes and you didn't even notice a difference.
Nov 8 - You put your pacifier in your mouth for the first time! YEAH!
Nov 10 - Started you on oatmeal. Still have rice cereal in your bottles, but you have oatmeal with a spoon. You LOVED it even more than rice and gobbled it all up! All poop issues resolved!!
Nov 11 - You were laying on your belly and tucked your feet under you and lifted your bottom way off the ground. We also started giving you oatmeal in the mornings as well as in the evenings today.
Nov 12 - Started your really high pitched squealing. Daddy started calling you a mongoose. I don't think he knows what a mongoose is, but that's what he likes to call you.
Nov 13 - Started carrots at dinner time, it was only 1T and you loved them and would get so excited to eat more. You would throw your hands up and down really fast.
Nov 16 - You started sucking and biting your bottom lip. I have a picture of you, it's really funny to watch you.
Nov 20 - You had sweet potatoes for the first time. You loved these too. I think they are your favorite.
Nov 23 - You started screaming your head off at bed time. You know when it's your bedtime now, and you are not liking it at all.
Nov 26 - You had green beans for the first time. You didn't like these at first, but once we got to the bottom of the jar, you were loving them. You made some really funny faces at first though ;0)

Oh wow! Look how much he has grown. Just keep with your regular bedtime schedule and he'll stop those tempers. He's just realizing that he can rebel against it, so he's trying the ropes out. I'm sure you already knew that.
