Lee's teething big time! Oye! He's been the clingingest, snottiest, whiniest, poopiest and laziest little boy I have ever met. He's being HORRIBLE, sorry for complaining. Lee has been very clingie and nothing is making him happy for the past 3 days. I'm kinda at the end of my rope. Steve has been working long hours this week, he's still not home and it's 8:15pm. I think tomorrow I will let Steve sleep-in and then I'm going to go out for a few hours and take a break.
Lee's teething on the top and bottom I noticed. His top teeth are just about to come in, I think the one on the left broke through, but the next bottom ones are starting to come up now. I am trying to distract him, but that only lasts for about 5 minutes. Then he's bored and throwing a wonderful temper tantrum. Yesterday Steve called me saying he was going to be late, so I decided to take Lee to the mall and get him out of the house. He whined the whole time we were there. Literally whined. So needless to say we were gone for less than an hour.
The good thing about this is it's taking his focus off of crawling. He's no where near crawling yet (secretly dancing). He's way too busy to get everything and anything into his mouth to chew/slobber. He keeps falling over when sitting (this is where the lazy part is coming in), he'll fall over and smack his head on the ground when sitting and start screaming on the top of his lungs. So I have stopped putting him in a sitting position. Now that he has been on his tummy so much, he is starting to learn how to sit by himself. Although it consists of rolling over onto his side, reaching out his hand towards me and opening/closing his fist as fast as he can while screeching on the top of his lungs!!!
Oh, and the seperation started too. If he's in the living room and I walk around the corner to where he can't see me, he screams. I walk back so Lee can see me, he gets quiet and smiles. Walk out of sight again, screams. Last night and today, I just stayed in the kitchen and did the dishes until he was completely worked up into hysterics. Hopefully he gets over this soon.
He holds his bottle all by himself now. He feeds all 8oz. to himself. I will lay him on the floor in his boppy and prop him up and he just goes to town. Sometimes he will push my hands away, like "I can do it".
Although he's been teething and crabby, he's been sleeping awesome! I can't complain about that one bit!!
Here's what his schedule has been like lately:
8-8:30am - wake up (eats 8oz bottle, 2T of oatmeal & stage 2 fruit)
10am - nap
11:30 - 12pm - wake up (eats 8oz bottle)
3pm (eats 4oz bottle) Nap
5:30pm - wake up (stage 2 vegtable & stage 2 fruit or yogurt)
7:30pm - (eats 8oz bottle)
8pm - bed
I finally got him down to 2 naps a day. He's been doing great with it! It took me about a week to get him adjusted, many of the days we had to go out somewhere. Lee loves to go out of the house and usually leads to a happy and entertained boy.
That's all the updating and complaining I have for today ;)
Here are some pictures of Lee's first mohawk!! He's starting to get hair, and after his bath time last night, I made him a mohawk. He then when and sat with Daddy, so I could take some pictures ;)

You can really see his slobber in that last picture. He is so cute, I love those big blue eyes.
I hope he gets those in and is feeling better soon. I know how hard it is to have a fussy baby. Check his ears, just in case. Noelle got ear infections often when she was teething. The dr said her slobber was probably getting in her ears when she was sleeping. Just a thought. I do hope he is feeling better soon. He was such a sweetheart when I met the two of you.
