Lee-isms and much, much more!

Lees vocabulary has grown so much in the last few months. It's so hard to imagine he just turned 2, let alone talking almost always in complete sentences. He very, very rarely ever asks for anything with just one word. It's most likely always "Lee wants..." or sometimes he gets it right and says "I want...". He's also been trying to figure out the "I's", "Me's", "You's", "Are's", "We's" and "Ing's". He's been adding "ing" to a lot of his words and it doesn't fit.

Lee-isms:

A couple weeks ago he came into my bedroom (mind you 5:30am) and this is what was said:
Lee: Momma find bink? (aka pacifier)
Me: No Lee, you go find it. Look on your bed.
Lee: No, Momma find it FOR Lee. (the FOR he accentuated).

Another time, we had just gotten back from my Moms house and she likes to tell her dog to "shut up" a lot. Not in a mean way, just a "shut up Lucy". Etc. Lucy does bark a lot... but this is what Lee said.
Me: Lee, can you do something (I had asked him to do something for me).
Lee: Shut up Momma.
Me: (trying really hard not to laugh) Lee that wasn't nice, we don't talk like that to people. Please obey and do (this).
Lee: Momma, I say, S-H-U-T U-P!!! (he spoke slowly and loudly on that one).

The other morning he comes up to me and says "Momma, I love you TOO MUCH". :) (We always tell Lee that we love him SO much, but he came up with "too much").

The other night I was having some contractions and didn't really want to move. Lee was insisting on me helping him with his train track. I asked him to wait and he asked why.
Me: Because my stomach hurts.
Lee: Gotta poop Momma.
Me: No honey, baby sister is making mommas stomach hurt.
Lee: Lee's tummy hurts, the poop comes.
Lee: (came over and rubbed my boob, he gets confused where my stomach is sometimes) Mommy go on potty and poop comes?
Me: Yeah buddy, Mommy will have to try that to feel better. (laughing).
*I just had to give up because the only reason I ever give him for his stomach hurting is pooping and that is usually the reason why his hurts, he has no idea why mine could hurt any different.

Lately whenever I ask Lee to help with something or do something like clean up his toys, or put this away, he will look at me and smile and not move at all. It's frustrating, but here's an example of how he picks up on everything I say.
Lee: (listening to the dogs fighting over food upstairs, we were in the basement) What's that noise?
Me: The doggies fighting over food.
Lee: Hold on, no move (and he goes upstairs)
Lee: (talking to the doggies) No noises. Hear me, I say NO ... NOISES!!!!
*I guess I have been asking if he's heard me a lot lately.

We went to Brookfield Zoo today and Steve took Lee into the Aquatic House. I sat in the shade on the bench to rest my legs. Here's the conversation that followed their little trip:
Lee: (running up to me) Momma, I's braving!
Me: You're brave?
Lee: Yep, I's braving the water.
Me: (looking to Steve for help) Huh?
Steve: (to Lee) Tell Mommy how you were really brave.
Lee: Momma, MOMMA, I braving the water, scary. Big water coming, coming, whosh, scary. No scary, I's braving!!
Me: Great job buddy!! (looking to Steve for help again)
Steve: Lee was really scared for the giant wave and didn't like it. We talked it over and watched it again and realized that it wasn't so scary after all. So he was very brave and watched it 3 more times. Now he loves it.
*There's a plexi glass window that is in front of you and above you. A giant wave comes every minute or so and splashes like 100 gallons of water at you. It makes you jump and IS pretty scary even when you know it's coming. We were really proud of Lee for sticking to his guns and working through being scared.

In the car he doesn't like traffic. He's realized that when there are cars, we don't move as fast. He used to tell us "faster, faster" but now that he can see the cars and realizes we can't run them over, he says that we're "stuck". Well, lately he's been adding "ing" to the end of a lot of his words. Here's an example:
Lee: Mommy, too many cars?
Me: Yeah, there's a lot of cars. Watch your movie, it will be awhile till we're home. (we were in a pretty tight traffic jam).
Lee: Too many stucking cars.
Me: (Me cracking up laughing my head off), Yeah we're stuck with a lot of cars!

Other words that I hear on a regular basis:
- No like it. (whenever he doesn't want something)
- No thank you.
- Y-O-U (yelling this at us, it's his way of showing he's frustrated and he just keeps yelling that at us).
- "Shh, Unca Matt is slee...pin". (whenever he wants it to be quiet).
- Check-a-butt (whenever he needs his diaper changed).
- Hold on, no move.
- Lees baby sister? (whenever we see a little girl. We're working on this one).

Lee still asks on a regular basis for Oatmeal every morning. He's had other things, but just loves his oatmeal. He's getting pretty good at asking for pancakes too, which we make quite often!

For a snack he will either ask for a nutrigrain bar or goldfish.

At bedtime he will ask for me to read him books and when I tell him no more books he will usually try to then put me to bed. He turns off his light, closes his door, turns on his fan, then crawls in bed and tries to give me his blanket and bink. He will then tell me "shhh, nigh, night Mommy" "close - a - eyes" as he rubs my arm.

In the morning he will bring me his diaper and wipes, get me his 3 packets of oatmeal, let the dogs out of the laundry room and into the backyard, bring me their bowls to fill, and after their filled he goes and puts them where they go, he yells for Kota to go into the "laundry room" because that is where she's fed, and gives the doggies their "treats/medicine". He's such a big helper! I'm so happy that he loves to help me and doesn't fight me on these things. It will hopefully make it a little easier with the baby coming!!

As you can see, he keeps me on my toes pretty much every day. Everyday, there's something new and something funny that he's doing. He is just so full of life and loves trying to do things. Sometimes that "life" is bad things, but I wouldn't change it for the world! We love him so much! It's hard to imagine loving a 2nd child as much as I love Lee.
