Week 11
So we are coming into week #11 and I'm SO EXCITED!! I did make an appointment with the thyroid specialist, but it isn't until December 1st. So the week after next I have 2 appointments, that one with the Endocronologist and then I also have my ultrasound appointment. I'll be 12-Weeks then.

I have been feeling REALLY good. I haven't had any morning sickness really, one day this week at work, handing out snacks was turning my stomach, but other than that I feel great! My tummy has been growing just a little bit more. I promise to take a picture sometime in the next couple days and post it.

Last week Steve asked me what I thought about starting the babys room. He asked if there was a color that I would like for a boy or a girl that we could paint the room. My Dr. doesn't find out the sex of the baby until 22 weeks, so we have a really long way to go. Steve's been so amazing and really, really sweet about everything. He was telling me that it seems real to me because I have all the symptoms and I feel pregnant, but it doesn't seem real to him. So he wanted to get started on the baby's room so he could do something too. He also pointed out that when spring comes he will be busy with the patio and wants to have the room done by then, so we don't have to worry about it.

We decided to do a sage green on the walls. It will only be on the top half and on the bottom half is going to be a white "chair wall". I keep saying it wrong and all Steve does is laugh at me. After we put up the chair wall, we are going to put a shelf up along one wall. If we have a girl we will be adding pink accents. If we have a boy, it will be blue accents.

This is the chair wall that we really liked from Lowes. It will look just like this but with a sage green on top.

This is the crib that I liked from Target. I think we are going to order it and have it shipped to the store so we won't have to pay for shipping costs. I really like the white color and I think it will look really cute up against the chair wall. We'll have to see. I like the honey oak color too.

That's all I have for now. Oh, I also bought some maternity clothes from Old Navy. There's a store that actually carries maternity in Aurora so I was able to go there and try them on. It was really kinda weird, but they are SO MUCH more comfortable. I just got some work pants and a few comfy shirts. YEAH :)

It's a Chair Rail with White paneling... and I LOVE IT!!! Steve is like me. He's a nester. I'm sure you guys remember me going NUTS on Kayle's room. I never found out what we were having, so I had to keep it nuetral. I just did all pastels and it worked out OK. White is the way to go. With wood, if stuff gets on it, it's hard to see, and you'll probably want to keep everything anally clean! Love ya!

Madison's room is green too! I think it's a sagey color. If you go to my November 2005 archives I posted a few pictures of the kids rooms and things and you can see the color there. Things look different now because Scott put of closets doors and I made things prettier since then. But the color is still the same and I LOVE IT!.

I can't believe you are 11 weeks already! You're almost done with the first trimester!! YEE HAW! Soon you will be popping out and that baby will be kicking and it will feel more real to poor little Steve.

Well, gotta go!! Thanks for the update!!!!

Love ya!!

My dearest Sara,
I love the Sage color. Purple and pink or blue and yellow go great with sage. We have sage in Aimee's bedding colors. I didn't want pink for Aimee so we went with sage and purple. And you remember the curtains... sheer white with pastel flowers.

I love the crib. Does it change into a toddler bed? That will be helpful. We have to look for a bed for Aimee. I want to get a dark cherry sleigh bed and dresser.

Love you.
Brooke

Just to add an additional note...Before it was a "Chair wall" it was a "Cherry Rail" so we are making real progress :)
