14 Weeks Old!
Not much new this week except that Lee is really teething pretty bad. He's been fussy and irritated quite a bit. We have been giving him tylynol and a wet wash cloth to chew on. If we stick any type of toy in his mouth he just stares at you. He won't chew on it. He likes fingers too :) You can see his cheeks below and how red they are, he hasn't been running a fever with a therometer but when you feel his head it's really, really warm and the cheeks are bright red. You can feel where his teeth are coming in now, it should only be HOPEFULLY just a few more weeks until he's not in pain anymore. Does anyone remember how long it is until the teeth break through? I can see them and feel them. Poor guy.

He has figured out how to stop himself from rolling over from tummy to back. He puts his arms out at his side with his feet up in the air and kinda rocks back and forth on his belly. LOL. It's funny to see. He only does it for a few seconds and then he puts his head down and cries in the blanket. It might be because he's uncomfortable or maybe that's his way of not rolling over. He will get half way and then he will pull himself back up so he's on his stomach. He still hasn't rolled over from back to stomach or even come close.

He's been fussy in the evenings again. I think he's just over tired from the day and doesn't know what else to do. I have been putting him to bed at 8pm every night and it's like he's too tired to fall asleep. He's been getting up about 8am every morning. So he's sleeping 12 hours with just one wake-up at around 3:30am -4am. It's just for a half hour and then he's back to sleep again. So he's doing really good sleeping. Oh and he's attached to his blue fuzzy blankie already. Aunt Amy got him this bears blanket that is really soft fuzzy on one side and cotton on the other side. He LOVES it to peices. We were at the grocery store and I had him in his seat with the blanket under him. He couldn't see it. He was getting tired and I pulled it out from under him and he started breathing really fast like when he gets excited, closed his eyes and went to sleep. It took him all of maybe 5 seconds... it was so funny I couldn't help but laugh. Ever since then he has slept with it!

Last thing for this week is we got him a bouncer/saucer/walker thingie. It's from the rainforest collection and it's pretty awesome. You can turn and rotate, it has lights and it bounces up and down. LJ is a little unsure about it, but we have only put him in it one time. She pictures below. I can't help but laugh... LOL.

Rosey red cheeks.
More red cheekers.

His new bouncer thingie. Not sure if we like it yet... "what is all this stuff?!?!"

"Umm... don't leave me... this is a little too weird for me!"

"Stop taking pictures and get me out of this thing!!!"
Yep, he loved it!! We'll have to work on him getting used to it. It might have been too overwhelming for him. Our house officially looks like toys-r-us. We have more stuff in the living room for Lee than we do of people furniture.

12 Weeks Old

This weekend we went camping up in the Dells and had a blast. My Dad's side family reunion is up there every year for Labor Day. It's so much fun. I can't wait to show you the pictures of us all and that wasn't even half of us. I'll do a post on our normal blog about that. Check back there later.

Here's everything that Lee's been up to:

He is starting to get his bottom 2 teeth. I can see them under his gums. I have no idea how long it will be until he gets them in, but whenever he is fussy if I stick my finger in his mouth and he chomps away on it (along with drooling all over).

He's been very focused on us when we are eating and staring at our mouths. It's like he's studing to learn what to do.

He had a doctors appointment last Friday and he weighed in at 12lb 13oz and was 24 inches long. He was perfectly healthy and the doctor called him muscles because of his head control. He does awesome at holding up his head now.

He changed his schedule again a bit. Here is what we are doing this week, wake up 7-8am, eats usually 5-6oz, naps only half-hour to an hour about 4 times a day and then gets his last bottle at 7:30pm to be in bed by 8pm. He will then sleep to about 4am eat really quickly and right back to sleep again. He sleeps really good now.

He is not really fussy anymore in the evening either. He is doing really good with entertaining himself more. He is also talking like crazy. He coos non-stop.

Lee's been trying to roll over more too. He will get frustrated when he wants to be on his tummy or on his back but doesn't know quite how to get there. He's rolled over from tummy to back 4 times now but we have only seen him do it once. That was today :)

It's amazing how much he changes from week to week, he's growing so fast. It's cute because Steve has always taken care of Lee, but now that Lee is more interactive (smiling, cooing and following your voice) he is always so excited to get home and be with him. It's amazing for me to see. He's such a good Dad!

6 Weeks Old

Lee is 6 weeks old and is getting SO big. He's going through one of his fun growth spurts again. He's been eating every three hours anywhere from 4-6 oz. Craziness!!

He started smiling at me today ;) I was laying on the floor next to him while he was doing one of his favorite things (staring at the windows) and he turned his head and smiled. I jumped up and started doing my little baby talk to him and he gave me this look like "what are you doing?". He kept smiling at me for like 5 minutes. It was so awesome. I just hope that he keeps doing it, that it wasn't just gas (LOL).

He drank his first 6oz. bottle this week as well. He's been chugging his bottles a lot better now. He stays awake at night to eat and is sleeping 5-6 hours straight, eats, then sleeps another 3-4 hours. He is almost always up at 7am too, wide awake.

We went for a walk last night because he's still kinda fussy during that 6-8pm block of time, so we took out the stroller and decided to give it another try. Last time we attempted it he cried the whole time. So we have put it off hoping if we waited a couple weeks he would like it next time, and guess what... he loved it! He didn't cry at all. He just sat up in his seat completely looking around enjoying the scenery. His cranky time is getting better. He's still whiney and demanding, but he's not screaming his head off the whole time anymore, just occasionally.

Let's see, anything else?? Not that I can think of... I'll post again if something new starts happening. It's amazing how everyday seems like something new is going on. I love it!!!
