Guess what Lee did...
10.5.2007

That's right, he rolled over from back to stomach. The video is like half-way through his roll, when he started to do it, I ran and got the camera. I tried to get another one on camera but everytime he saw the camera he froze and just stared at it. He must have spent a good half hour rolling, we would have to put him on his back, and then he would roll onto his tummy. He used to roll from tummy to back, but now he stops himself from rolling. You can see it in the video. He also has a cold :( Fever, vomiting, coughing and sneezing like crazy. Poor guy...

15 Weeks Old!

He is getting more and more fun everyday. He is smiling all the time. Lee has started doing a new thing this week. I took this video early in the week (Monday), but now he can do it really well. He has started blowing bubbles (aka, spitting everywhere). It's so cute to see him do it. He did it all day today so I thought I would finally post the video. Brace yourself.. it's kinda boring if your not Lee's parents. It's 9 minutes long, but towards the end he finally does it.

You also see him kick his feet over and roll onto his side. He has been doing that for a few weeks now, I keep thinking that anyday now he's going to roll over to his tummy, but he has yet to do it by himself. He has also stopped rolling over from stomach to back. When he's on his belly he will put his head down and cry or he will start eating his hands. He hasn't rolled over for over 2 weeks now. He was getting so good at it too... oh well.

LJ really isn't grabbing toys yet, but he will grab his bib and put that in his mouth. He grabs onto things with a fierce grip and to get him to let go is hard, lol.

Lee also started spittin up a few weeks ago, which he never really did before. Then, he started vommiting everywhere, mainly all over me. Well, I was watching him drink from his bottles and he started taking in a lot of air from the sides of his mouth. I met with Chan, Carter & Elle on Tuesday and she uses/used Advent bottles with Carter and Elle. Elle had really bad reflux, so I thought I would try that type of bottle. I bought just one to try and his spitting up/vomiting has pretty much stopped. I'm so happy, I felt bad for the poor guy. His eyes would get all red and teary. I really like those bottles and wished I would have tried them sooner.

Other than that, we start cereal in two weeks! Whoo-hoo! Definately a video to come then :)

14 Weeks Old!
Not much new this week except that Lee is really teething pretty bad. He's been fussy and irritated quite a bit. We have been giving him tylynol and a wet wash cloth to chew on. If we stick any type of toy in his mouth he just stares at you. He won't chew on it. He likes fingers too :) You can see his cheeks below and how red they are, he hasn't been running a fever with a therometer but when you feel his head it's really, really warm and the cheeks are bright red. You can feel where his teeth are coming in now, it should only be HOPEFULLY just a few more weeks until he's not in pain anymore. Does anyone remember how long it is until the teeth break through? I can see them and feel them. Poor guy.

He has figured out how to stop himself from rolling over from tummy to back. He puts his arms out at his side with his feet up in the air and kinda rocks back and forth on his belly. LOL. It's funny to see. He only does it for a few seconds and then he puts his head down and cries in the blanket. It might be because he's uncomfortable or maybe that's his way of not rolling over. He will get half way and then he will pull himself back up so he's on his stomach. He still hasn't rolled over from back to stomach or even come close.

He's been fussy in the evenings again. I think he's just over tired from the day and doesn't know what else to do. I have been putting him to bed at 8pm every night and it's like he's too tired to fall asleep. He's been getting up about 8am every morning. So he's sleeping 12 hours with just one wake-up at around 3:30am -4am. It's just for a half hour and then he's back to sleep again. So he's doing really good sleeping. Oh and he's attached to his blue fuzzy blankie already. Aunt Amy got him this bears blanket that is really soft fuzzy on one side and cotton on the other side. He LOVES it to peices. We were at the grocery store and I had him in his seat with the blanket under him. He couldn't see it. He was getting tired and I pulled it out from under him and he started breathing really fast like when he gets excited, closed his eyes and went to sleep. It took him all of maybe 5 seconds... it was so funny I couldn't help but laugh. Ever since then he has slept with it!

Last thing for this week is we got him a bouncer/saucer/walker thingie. It's from the rainforest collection and it's pretty awesome. You can turn and rotate, it has lights and it bounces up and down. LJ is a little unsure about it, but we have only put him in it one time. She pictures below. I can't help but laugh... LOL.

Rosey red cheeks.
More red cheekers.

His new bouncer thingie. Not sure if we like it yet... "what is all this stuff?!?!"

"Umm... don't leave me... this is a little too weird for me!"

"Stop taking pictures and get me out of this thing!!!"
Yep, he loved it!! We'll have to work on him getting used to it. It might have been too overwhelming for him. Our house officially looks like toys-r-us. We have more stuff in the living room for Lee than we do of people furniture.

13 Weeks (or 3 months old)!

It has been a really busy week for Lee. He is still eating 4-6oz. We tried to use stage 2 nipples, but he Lee just started wearing size 6-9 months in PJ's and 3-6 months in regular clothes this week also. Here are a few things he has started doing this week.

First, he is definately getting his 2 bottom teeth in. When my hands are anywhere near his head he is trying to chew on them. The past 2 days he has been fussy in the evening and when we give him teething tablets it pretty much stops. Last night he was able to fall asleep. Also, when I push down on his gums, I can feel them. It kinda stinks because he doesn't realize that he can chew on toys. I will put teething toys in his mouth and he just looks at me like "why is this in my mouth?". He does however put his hands in his mouth all the time and last Wednesday night, I caught him sucking his thumb while sleeping.

Lee loves laying on the floor now. If we put him on his tummy he will roll over onto his back so he can kick his feet up in the air. A few times he has grabbed onto them with his hands. When you change his diaper now, he will kick his feet up too. Then when he wants to go back to his tummy, he will roll over to his side and kick some more to try to get over onto his stomach. We have to help him do that though.

We have stopped wrapping him for the most part. His Grandma calls it his straight-jacket or his pappoos. Everytime she saw him in it she would try to take him out of it. When he gets really fussy, we will wrap him up in it... but it just seems like he is starting to outgrow it. Plus, with him chewing on his hands so much, I don't want to have them strapped to his side.

We have started Lee on 2 tsp of rice cereal at night in his bottle. So far I don't think he has noticed, but I wanted to start slow because the rice cereal can constipate babies, and I really am hoping not to have that effect by slowly introducing it. We will start spoon feeding next month. We got a booster/high chair seat for Lee when we do start spoon feeding. The picture above is the face he made when I first put him in there. Below is another one. He sits up really well in it, but it's a new feeling for him, so I'm not sure how he likes it.

Speaking of sitting up... whenever I put LJ on the couch to sit, he has started leaning forward on his own, which ends up with Lee face planted on the couch. Ha, ha... it's kinda funny and I laugh every time.

We have had TONS of smiles and a few giggles too!! I have even gotten a few with a my camera. He's getting so big and talking so much. He will carry on a conversation now and I have no clue what he is talking about!

Laying on his tummy!

Kicking his feet in the air!

Smiles & talking!

Happy Boy!

What?!? What I do?!?

Hand in the mouth!!

New seat... not sure if we like it yet!

As you can see a lot of new things this week... I have a ton of pictures too :) I just can't stop! Until next week...

Almost 11 weeks old

We had Lee's 2 month check up today and he was 12lb 13oz and 24inches in length. He also got 3 shots and a booster drop thingie. He screamed poor guy, it was horrible. If you didn't know, I will do anything to avoid shots all together. So I didn't like him getting them. We came home and he slept some, then was pretty fussy for the rest of the night.

Other than that, he rolled over for the first time yesterday! I think it was a total fluke thing, but hopefully he starts doing it more often soon. I didn't see it, I had my back turned, and when I looked at him again he was on his back (he was laying on his stomach). He's doing really good laying on his tummy. He will only lay there for about 3 minutes at a time, then he starts to hate it. He also started noticing his feet yesterday too. He was sitting on the couch and was playing with his hands and kicked his foot. Well, then his focus was on his one foot. He started kicking and kicking it. His feet were all over the place. He then fell over and it ended :)

He has been smiling SO much more and also cooing more! He has started smiling at strangers now too. When Brooke was here with her 2 year old Aimee, he would smile at them all the time too.

We had a blast having Brooke and Aimee here. Brooke bought me a starter kit to start a scrapbook for Lee. It had everything from stickers, tons of paper, letters, blank pages, and sheet protectors. It is SO cute, and so boy! I think when I get a few more pages done, I will take pictures and post them so you can see. So while Brooke was here we scrapbooked a lot and she helped me start Lee's book. We also went to Brookfield Zoo last Friday. It was really hot and crowded but we had fun!

I keep trying to get a picture of Lee smiling, but everytime I hold up the camera, he is more interested in the camera than smiling. So here are a few attempts at me trying to get him smiling. I hid the camera and then popped it out when he smiled. So they are kinda blurry.
