Latest News on Baby Lee!!

Hello all,

I wanted to write a quick update on Baby Lee.

We started time contractions at 11am and went to the Hospital at 3pm Sunday night. Sara's contractions at that point were 5 minutes apart and lasting about 40 seconds. Once we arrived the examined her and found that she was only one centimeter dilated and 75% effaced. They were not convinced that the contractions were true labor. They decided to have us walk around the hospital for another hour and a half and then they examined her again. This time she was dilated to two centimeters and 100% effaced with contractions every three minutes. They were still not fully convinced that this was the start of labor and decided to contact the doctor. The Doctor decided to leave the it up to us if we wanted to go home and wait or to check into the hospital. I decided that I would prefer to stay at the hospital. I just could see this not being the beginning of labor.

Then started the waiting....to cute to the good stuff. Sara's received her epidural at 4am Monday and her water broke at 8:30am. The Doctor was at the hospital at that point and Sara began to push. She did an amazing job and Lee was born at 10:10am on Monday. He weight 7 pounds exactly and was 20 inches long.

Everyone is healthy and doing good. Lee is having a little trouble with flem and breathing which is causing difficultly with feeding. Because of this they are going to keep Sara/Lee a little bit longer and make sure everything is going well. They should be released Wednesday morning and I sure she can't wait to give Lee a proper blog with lots of pictures and comments.
