Holy Moly...

Lee has been fussy for the past 2 days, nothing has been able to really sooth him. He was sleeping between 3-4 hours, which I knew wouldn't last very long. Well, yesterday and today he's been sleeping around 2 hours at a time. When he's awake now, he's awake now for about 2-3 hours at a time which he has been sorta fussy/not happy. I think he's having pooping issues and Steve said he thinks the same thing.

Here's the miraclous part about it... as frustrating as listening to your child cry/fuss, no matter how useless you feel, the second he calms down or falls asleep you automatically have this protective love for him that makes you feel all better. It's so amazing!!!

Wish me luck that he poops soon. He eats... he burps... he pees (a LOT)... he toots... I think he just needs to poop ;D

Oh, and his umbilical cord fell off when Steve was changing him this afternoon. YEAH!!!

Ellie was a screamer from the start. She did that all day, everyday until she was 4 months old. It's miserable so I know what you're going through. So far Carter does that only when he's awake and not being held. Don't be afraid to call your Dr. That's what they are there for. I called constantly with Elle. Carter is having pooping issues too. He started that at about 2 - 3 weeks. He was going 2 - 3 days without pooping and was just miserable. Very gassy too! I called the Dr. and we switched him to lactos free formula and that seems to have helped the gassiness. We haven't had to give him gas drops as much as before. The pooping is still an issue. They told me to give him 1 oz of baby white grape juice once a day. It's kind of helped, I guess. He's pooped more frequently the last couple of days. Not gone without a poop more than 1 day so that's good. Like I said, don't be afraid to call your doc!

Poor baby. He's so completely adorable. My son was really fussy for a while until we learned that he was allergic to milk. I second the previous commenter in don't be afraid to call your doctor. My sister's baby had reflux and that made her cry a lot too. She had projectile vomiting and lots of gas and it just made her so uncomfortable. There are so many reasons why a baby could be crying. I hope you are able to find out what it is that is causing this. I'll pray for you all and poor Baby Lee.
